Cops: Greenport woman dies in Southold pool
A Greenport woman died in an apparent drowning Tuesday evening in a Southold backyard swimming pool, police said.
Heather Domino, 23, was discovered about 5:45 p.m., unconscious in a swimming pool at an Old North Road home, police said, near her parent's home.
Southold firefighters and Southold Town police responded to the scene and attempted to resuscitate Domino, police said.
She was taken by ambulance to Eastern Long Island Hospital in Greenport, police said, where she was pronounced dead.
Southold Town detectives are investigating, police said.
