Police are searching for a man who they said robbed an East Islip pharmacy at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon, stealing prescription medication.

The robbery took place at 3:55 p.m. at Country Village Pharmacy on East Main Street, Suffolk County police said.

No one was injured.

Police said the man, believed to be about 5-foot-10 and in his mid-to-late 20s or early 30s, wore sunglasses, a dark hooded sweatshirt and a red bandanna. He had a thin mustache, police said.

Police said after entering the pharmacy, the man announced a robbery, said he had a gun and demanded the prescription medications. Police did not say what kind of medication or how much was taken.
