A Hampton Bays man stopped Wednesday for erratic driving on Sunrise Highway in Southampton faces a DWI charge, State Police said.

Troopers responding to a report of a tan Toyota driving erratically westbound on the highway near Exit 62 pulled over Jose Ajquijay Deleon, 23, at 12:05 a.m., police said in a news release.

Deleon had bloodshot watery eyes and displayed poor coordination, the release said, and failed sobriety tests.

He was arrested and produced a breath-analyzer sample of 0.13 percent, police said. The legal limit is below 0.08 percent.

He is charged with DWI and several traffic violations.

His arraignment information at the Town of Southampton Court was not immediately available.
