Cops: Hampton Bays women charged with stealing

Two women were arrested in Hampton Bays Sunday after they were seen stealing items from a Macy's on Montauk Highway, police said.

Marcia Aplicano, 28, and Dania Ramirez, 21, both of Hampton Bays, were arrested at 3 p.m. after Southampton Town police said a department store loss prevention officer saw them placing "items of clothing" into their handbags -- and exiting the store.

Both were charged with petit larceny, police said.

The two women are scheduled for arraignment in Southampton Town Justice Court on June 6, police said.
