A Hauppauge woman was arrested and charged with drunken driving after she attempted to turn onto Route 25 in Southold late Saturday, causing a four-car accident, police said.

Jane Fontanez, 51, was charged with driving while intoxicated after she failed a field sobriety test, Southold Town police said. She was held overnight for arraignment.

Police said Fontanez was turning onto Route 25 near Boisseau Avenue at about 10:45 p.m. Saturday when her vehicle was struck by a westbound vehicle and then an eastbound vehicle -- before crashing into a parked vehicle. There were no reported injuries, police said.

Additional details were not immediately available.
