Cops: Hit-run critically injures man in Greenlawn

A 34-year-old Huntington Station man was critically injured when he was struck by a car in an early morning hit-and-run Friday in Greenlawn, Suffolk County police said.
The crash occurred at 2:53 a.m. on Pulaski Road near Greenbrush Court, police said.
Police identified the victim as Jose Murillo and said he was taken by Greenlawn Fire Department ambulance to Huntington Hospital, where he is in critical condition.
Police said Murillo was walking westbound along Pulaski with a group of friends when he was struck by a dark-colored sedan. The vehicle then fled the scene, police said.
Police are asking anyone with information about the accident to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
The subsequent accident investigation closed Pulaski between Taylor Avenue and Shrine Place, police said. Police said the road was reopened at about 8 a.m.
