A Home Depot store in Huntington was evacuated Monday and police emergency units were called to remove a suspicious package located inside the store, Suffolk police said Monday night.

A letter was received by the store concerning a bomb threat, and police received a 911 call about that threat at 4:11 p.m., officials said. There were about 50 customers and employees in the store at the time.

Emergency services responded and were in the process Monday night of removing the package from the store.
