Homeless man charged in robbery of three 7-Eleven stores in Suffolk

A homeless man was arrested Monday and charged with robbery in holdups at three 7-Eleven stores, along with a failed attempt, in the past 10 days, Suffolk County police said.
Courtland Bonalde, 35, was charged with robbing stores at 260 Motor Pkwy., Brentwood, on Sept. 27; 500 Islip Ave., Islip, on Sept. 28; and 193 Caleb's Path, Central Islip, on Oct. 4, police said.
He also tried on Oct. 2 to rob the Central Islip store again, but ran off with no proceeds, police said.
Bonalde, who has no known address according to police, was charged with three counts of third-degree robbery and one count of third-degree attempted robbery and was scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in First District Court in Central Islip.
