Cops investigate robbery on Stony Brook campus
Stony Brook University police are looking for suspects in a robbery early Friday near the O'Neil College.
Assistant Chief Neil Farrell said a male student was attacked from behind at about 1:30 a.m. by possibly two men who took the victim's iPhone.
The student had scratches on his arm but refused medical attention at the scene, Farrell said.
University police and Suffolk County police's canine unit searched the area until about 4 a.m. but had "negative results," Farrell said.
The investigation is continuing, he said.
