Police are investigating the robbery Wednesday morning of a Rocky Point bank.

The robbery occurred at 9:35 a.m. at Capital One Bank, 366 Route 25A, Suffolk County police said.

A man approached the teller and demanded cash, and the teller complied, police said. The suspect fled.

The robber was described as 25 to 30 years old, 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-11 with a thin build.

"He was wearing blue jeans and a flannel shirt over a gray hooded-sweatshirt," police said in a news release.

Anyone with information about the robbery is urged to anonymously call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.

Pattern Crime Unit detectives are investigating the case.
