Suffolk County police and Crime Stoppers said Thursday they are investigating graffiti at the San Remo Community Park on Saint Johnland Road in Kings Park. The park was vandalized between 5 p.m. Sunday, March 16, and Monday, March 17, 2014, they said. Credit: SCPD

Suffolk County police and Crime Stoppers said Thursday they are investigating graffiti at a community park in Kings Park as a hate crime.

Vandals used spray paint to draw a swastika, a pentagram and an upside-down cross on playground equipment at the San Remo Community Park on Saint Johnland Road between 5 p.m. Sunday and 9:30 a.m. Monday, police said.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
