Suffolk police have arrested a Lake Grove woman and charged her with driving while ability impaired in connection with the death of a female bicyclist struck and killed Sunday evening in Miller Place.

Nicole Shellard, 32, of 162 Symphony Dr., was arrested after her 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe hit bicyclist Kathryn Underdown, 45, also of Lake Grove, along eastbound Route 25A near Hunter Avenue in Miller Place at about 6 p.m. police said.

Police said Underdown was pronounced dead at the scene.
