A Lindenhurst man was arrested early Sunday after he crashed his pickup truck into a tree while intoxicated in Lindenhurst, Suffolk County police said.

Police said Jeremy Jones, 23, was driving north on Hawkins Boulevard at Brookside Court at about 3:45 a.m. when he lost control of his 1994 Chevrolet and hit a tree.

Jones, who was tossed from the truck, received multiple injuries, including broken bones and injuries to his face, police said. He was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

Jones was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. His arraignment will be at a later date, police said.

Police impounded the truck for a safety check, and ask anyone who might have seen the crash to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152.
