Second Squad detectives are looking for the driver who struck and killed a pedestrian in Huntington Station Sunday night and then fled the scene, Suffolk County police said.

Cesar Gudiel of Columbia Street in Huntington Station, was "walking in the roadway along New York Avenue near East 21st Street at approximately 7:35 p.m." when he was hit by a car traveling north on New York Avenue, police said.

After hitting Gudiel, the driver continued north on New York Avenue, police said. The car is a white sedan with New York plates and possibly a rear spoiler.

Gudiel was taken to Huntington Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
