A Long Beach man struck a woman in North Amityville on Saturday morning and was later charged with a felony and misdemeanors: driving while ability impaired by drugs, leaving the scene of an accident, and reckless driving, Suffolk police said.
Robert Peppers, 32, of 666 Shore Rd., was driving a 2012 Jeep Liberty at 8:20 a.m. when he hit the pedestrian on Broadway in North Amityville, police said. She was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
