Cops: Man arrested in North Amityville shooting
A 20-year-old man has been arrested for shooting another man in the shoulder outside an apartment complex in North Amityville Sunday night, Suffolk County police said.
Police said Kesley Nosy of Great Neck Road, North Amityville, fired several shots at a man he had been arguing with earlier in the night at the Cloverdale Apartments but, instead, struck Kevin Roker, 44, also of North Amityville, in the left shoulder. The shooting occurred at 8:05 p.m. Sunday.
Police said Roker was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip and was admitted in stable condition. His condition was unknown Monday morning.
Nosy was charged with second-degree assault.
He is scheduled for arraignment Monday in First District Court in Central Islip.
