A 22-year-old Baldwin man was arrested Wednesday in Manhattan and charged with two counts of attempted murder in the shooting of two men in Baldwin, early Tuesday morning, police said.

Police said Rochell Davis of 2785 Milburn Ave. approached the two, aged 22 and 23, about 3:25 a.m. as they sat in a car near Fox Road and Archer Place. Davis fired three shots through the driver's side door, striking both men, police said.

They were taken to a hospital Tuesday, police said, where one was listed in serious condition, and the other in stable condition.

Davis was to be arraigned Thursday in First District Court, Hempstead.
