A Bridgehampton man was charged with criminal mischief after police said he jumped onto a car during a dispute outside a nightclub Sunday, causing "extensive" damage to the vehicle.

Philip J. McIntosh, 29, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief after the incident outside the Agave nightclub in Bridgehampton Sunday at 4:39 a.m. Southampton Town police said. Arraignment details were not immediately available.

Police said the McIntosh was involved in a dispute and said during that argument he jumped onto a 2007 Nissan, causing "extensive damage to that vehicle."

Police did not say what precipitated the dispute and did not say if the vehicle was occupied.
