Cops: Man crushes hand at W. Babylon firm

A man who crushed his hand while operating a metal press at a West Babylon company was airlifted to Stony Brook Hospital on Friday evening, Suffolk County Police said.

Police were called to investigate the incident at Check-Mate Industries Inc., 370 Wyandanch Ave. in West Babylon at 6 p.m.

Neither the severity of the man's injury nor additional details were immediately available.
