A man dressed as a woman and armed with a machete drove off with a Huntington Station man's vehicle last month, Suffolk County police said Wednesday.

Police said they are looking for the suspect who on Oct. 29 took his victim's 2012 Honda Odyssey after approaching him in his Willetts Place driveway at about 6:30 a.m.

The victim said the suspect demanded he turn over his keys, police said. The victim refused, and the suspect forced him into the vehicle and the two drove off together.

About three miles from his residence, "the victim pulled over the vehicle on Sunnywoods Drive and Pigeon Hill Road in Huntington Station and was able to exit the vehicle," police said in a news release.

The suspect drove off in the Odyssey, the which was later recovered in the parking lot of St. Anthony's High School.

Police said the victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Huntington Hospital.

The suspect was described as between 5-foot-4 and 5-foot-5 with a thin build, police said. He was wearing a long, dark ladies' wig, oversize sunglasses and a baseball hat.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
