Suffolk police arrested a Wyandanch man Monday and charged him with driving while intoxicated with his 1-year-old son in the vehicle.

Victor Teel, 40, was being held overnight and will be arraigned Tuesday in First District Court in Central Islip on charges of aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child less than 16 years old, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and endangering the welfare of a child.

Police said he was driving a 1999 Ford Expedition on North 11th Street in Wyandanch shortly after noon Monday when a First Precinct police officer pulled him over for a vehicle and traffic stop.

The officer determined Teel was intoxicated.

Teel was accompanied by his son at the time. The boy was released to a family member.
