John Brajevich was arrested and charged with a felony count of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated With a Child Passenger Less Than 16 and two misdemeanor counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Credit: Suffolk Police Department handout

A man cops say was driving erratically on Sunrise Highway with his two daughters in the car was arrested on Wednesday night, Suffolk Police said.

John R. Brajevich, 46, of Mount Sinai, was pulled over at around 9:30 p.m. near Oakdale-Bohemia Road. The officer determined he was intoxicated and arrested Brajevich. His two daughters, ages 10 and 11, were inside the vehicle, a 2000 Chevrolet Astro Van, cops said.

Brajevich was charged with a felony count of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated With a Child Passenger Less Than 16 and two misdemeanor counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He will be arraigned on Thursday morning at First District Court in Central Islip, cops say.

The two daughters were released to their mother.
