Police have charged a Coram man with first-degree reckless endangerment after he fired a shotgun through the floor of his apartment Wednesday afternoon.

Suffolk police said Spencer Burton, 19, "discharged a shotgun" in the upstairs apartment at 40 B Country Club Dr. about 3:30 p.m. and the round went through the floor into a downstairs apartment. Though that apartment was occupied at the time, no one was injured, police said.

The apartment complex was temporarily locked down after police were called to the scene, neighbors said.
