A man was hit in the foot and injured by gunfire that interrupted a Bay Shore party early Saturday morning, police said.

Several people were outside at 3 a.m. when an unknown person fired several shots, striking the victim, 34, in his left foot, Suffolk police said.

The victim was taken in a private vehicle from the party at 112 2nd Ave. to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, police said. He was treated for injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.

Police said they are investigating the shooting and anyone with information should call the Third Squad at 631-854-8352 or Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS.
