One man was injured when a car overturned on Nicolls Road in Holbrook early Thursday morning, police said.

The single-vehicle crash occurred at 4:33 a.m. near Patchogue-Holbrook Road, Suffolk County police said. Police said the cause of the crash was under investigation, but that the vehicle left the road -- and flipped over.

The type of vehicle involved was not identified.

Police said the driver, identified only as a male, was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. His condition was not immediately known.

No charges were filed.
