Cops: Man killed in Yaphank car crash

A man was killed when the car he was in crashed into a pole on Yaphank Middle Island Road in Yaphank on Saturday night, Suffolk County police said.
The man, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after the 8:54 p.m. crash, police said.
Other details about the crash were not immediately available.
