Cops: Man killed on bike in North Amityville

A bicyclist was killed after being struck by a car on Sunrise Highway in North Amityville Thursday evening, Suffolk County police said.
Dorian Robinson, 51, of North Amityville was pronounced dead at 8:34 p.m. after being transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, police said.
According to police, witnesses say the driver, Michael Greco, 34, of Lynbrook, had a green light while going westbound on Sunrise Highway at the time of the accident. He was driving a 1989 Mercedes in the center lane.
Greco was brought to St. Joseph Hospital in Bethpage, where he was treated and released with minor injuries.
Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are investigating the accident.
