Cops: Man provided marijuana to teens
A Hampton Bays man was arrested Monday and charged with providing Southampton youths aged 14 to 17 with marijuana, police said.
Steven G. Giarraputo, 31, of Canoe Place Road in Hampton Bays, was charged with multiple counts of unlawfully dealing with children, endangering the welfare of a child and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Following complaints by parents and neighbors, Southampton Town police said they executed a search warrant at Giarraputo's home and recovered items that included marijuana, pills, heroin, drug pipes, growing equipment and packaging material.
Giarraputo provided the marijuana to one 17-year-old, five 15-year-olds, and one 14-year- old, police said.
