Suffolk police said they are looking for a suspect or suspects who shot a man in the arm in North Bay Shore.

The man was taken to Southside Hospital with a non-life-threatening wound, according to a spokesman for the Suffolk police department.

"We are still looking for the shooter," the spokesman said.

Police received the call at 9:42 p.m. and officers were sent to the front of a Benton Place address.

The K-9 and aviation units also responded to the shooting scene, which police described as a residential neighborhood, but they were not able to locate the suspect or suspects.
