Cops: Man shot in leg in Mastic Beach

A man was shot in the leg shortly before midnight on Friday at Flower Road and Woodside Drive in Mastic Beach, Suffolk County police said.

The victim, whom police did not identify, was taken by a family member to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue, where he was treated and released with non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives from the Seventh Squad are investigating, and no arrests have yet been made.
