A Greenlawn man was shot multiple times as he stood outside a Huntington nightclub early Sunday, Suffolk police said.

Cory Culberth, 21, was standing on Wall Street outside Christopher's at about 2:50 a.m. when a man went up to him and shot him twice in the abdomen, and once in the hand, police said. A fourth bullet grazed his head. The man, who Culberth described as being between 20 and 25 years old, then fled north on Wall Street, police said.

Culberth was taken to Huntington Hospital by a friend who was also at the nightclub, police said. He was admitted in serious condition, and underwent surgery Sunday, they said.

Police said Culberth is expected to survive his injuries.

Police said the shooting did not appear random and that Culberth was likely targeted.

Anyone with information on this attack is asked to call the Second Squad at 631-854-8252 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 800-220-TIPS.
