Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Seventh Squad Detectives are seeking the public's help to identify and locate the person who broke into two parked vehicles outside the Lucille Roberts gym in Shirley on Nov. 1 at about 7 p.m., took pocketbooks from the vehicles, and then used credit cards that were in the handbags at a DVD rental kiosk in Farmingville. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is looking for a man who stole credit cards from vehicles in a Shirley parking lot and then used them to rent DVDs in Farmingville, police said Wednesday.

Police said the suspect broke into two vehicles parked outside the Lucille Roberts gym at 349 William Floyd Pkwy. in Shirley at about 7 p.m. on Nov. 1. He took pocketbooks and handbags that contained the credit cards from the vehicles, police said.

Later, the suspect used two stolen cards to rent DVDs from a Redbox kiosk outside a 7-Eleven at 358 Mooney Pond Rd. in Farmingville, police said.

Seventh Squad detectives released photographs of the suspect taken from video surveillance cameras at the 7-Eleven.
