Suffolk County police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man in a distinctive pink polo shirt who stole medications off the shelf of a Selden drugstore and stuffed them in a gold-colored bag.
Surveillance video showed the man, who was wearing sunglasses, filling the bag with "a large quantity" of medications at the Rite Aid drugstore in College Plaza on June 30, police said.
A store worker tried to get the man's attention, but he walked out without paying and left in a silver Honda Accord, police said.
Detectives asked anyone with information about the incident to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-8477. All calls will be kept confidential, police said.
