A Riverside man was arrested and charged with criminal contempt after he violated an active order of protection and attacked his brother, police said.

Southampton Town police said Jason M. Stoddard, 30, was arrested and charged with first-degree criminal contempt after he was involved in a fight with his brother in Riverside. The identity of the brother was not released. Police said the incident occurred at 2:41 a.m. Sunday.

It was not clear if anyone was injured in the incident.

Arraignment details were not immediately available.
