Cops: Man wielding machete at Tanger Outlets Riverhead arrested

A man with a machete remained in jail on a terrorism charge Wednesday after he threatened to hurt people at the Tanger Outlets Riverhead, authorities said.
John Medina, 32, of Mastic, was arrested Tuesday after police said he told people at the outlet that he wanted to hurt them and himself, Riverhead police said.
Medina had a machete in his back pack, police said.
He was charged with making a terrorist threat, a felony, and fourth-degree possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor, Riverhead police said.
At Riverhead Justice Court, bail was set at $250,000 cash or $500,000 bond, authorities said.
