A Manorville man was arrested on Saturday night after he drove while intoxicated, hit another car head-on and then fled the scene, Riverhead police said.

The Riverhead Police K9 unit and the New York State Police tracked down Murphy, who was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident.

The driver of the other vehicle, Liliana Rios, 25, of Baiting Hollow, suffered serious chest injuries and was airlifted to Stony Brook University Medical Center.

Rios's passenger, Nikolin Lejhia, 26, of Manhattan, received treatment at Peconic Bay Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.

A second passenger in Rios's car, Plorent Pjerrza, 25, of the Bronx, was not injured.
