Riverhead Town police are looking for a masked gunman who robbed a pizzeria Tuesday.

The suspect entered the back door of Joe's Pizzeria, 12 Main St., about 8:16 p.m., police said in a news release.

He pointed a handgun at an employee and demanded money, police said. He took an unspecified amount of cash and fled on foot, police said.

The suspect wore a black hooded jacket and dark-colored pants; he also had his face covered with a bandanna, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Riverhead Police Department at 631-727-4500.
