A road rage incident ended with a New Suffolk man being arrested and charged with aggravated DWI Saturday afternoon in Mattituck, police said.

Dirk Blank, 50, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, Southold Town police said Monday.

Arraignment details were not immediately available.

Police said that Blank, driving a 1988 Acura westbound on Route 48, became involved in "a road rage type incident" that involved a "verbal dispute" with another driver. Police said officers stopped Blank and found he was intoxicated -- and that his license had been suspended or revoked seven times.

Additional details were not available.
