Cops: Missing homeless woman found dead in Shirley
A homeless woman who police said was reported missing last month from the Mastic-Shirley area was found dead in a wooded area along Linden Avenue in Shirley on Saturday, Suffolk County police said.
Police said Elizabeth Fridenberger, 25, had been reported missing on March 15.
Her death has been ruled "non-criminal," police said -- declining to elaborate on the circumstances.
