A 22-year-old autistic man who went missing Saturday night after he fled into the woods in Shinnecock Hills was found alive on Sunday, Southampton Town police said.

Police began searching the woods with dogs and helicopters after Jacob Goldfarb, 22, of Tuckahoe was reported missing on Saturday night.

He had been last seen by friends running into the woods on Saturday evening, Sgt. Howard Kalb said. His clothing and car were found later.

Southampton Town police said they did not have further details immediately available.
