Cops: Motorcyclist critical after crash
A motorcyclist from Deer Park was critically injured Tuesday evening in a collision with a Jeep at a Wyandanch intersection, Suffolk police said.
Joseph Bonner, 26, of Carll's Path, was taken by ambulance from the accident scene to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip about 6 p.m., police said.
Bonner was driving a 2007 Yamaha motorcycle east on Garden City Avenue when it collided with the 2001 Jeep traveling north on South 30th Street, police said.
Christopher McLaurin, 50, of South 30th Street, in Wyandanch, who was driving the Jeep, was also taken to Good Samaritan hospital, where he was treated and released.
Both vehicles were impounded for inspection, police said. First Squad detectives were investigating.
