Suffolk County police investigate the scene of a fatal crash where a motorcyclist was killed at the intersection of Little East Neck Road and Patton Avenue in Wyandanch Wednesday morning after colliding with a truck. (June 20, 2012) Credit: James Carbone

Police are investigating the cause of an accident Wednesday morning that killed a motorcyclist in Wyandanch.

The victim was driving a 2005 Honda motorcycle north on Little East Neck Road "when he struck a 2001 Mitsubishi box truck at the intersection of Patton Avenue," Suffolk County police said in a news release.

The motorcyclist, who police did not identify, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was described as in his late 20s or early 30s.

Box truck driver Michael Garcia, 21, of West Babylon, was not injured in the crash, police said.
