Two lanes of eastbound Route 347 in Nesconset were briefly closed early Thursday after a two-vehicle accident involving a school bus, state and local officials said.

But, Suffolk County police said, there were no children on the bus, no injuries and the situation was resolved quickly.

No one was charged.

Police said the crash between the bus and another vehicle occurred at 6:55 a.m. The New York State Department of Transportation reported one to two lanes of eastbound Route 347 had been closed in the area near Southern Boulevard.

Police said the lanes were reopened not long after the crash and that there were no reported delays.
