Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Fourth Squad detectives are trying to find out who stole a wallet from a vehicle parked in a Nesconset driveway earlier in September, police said Friday.
Police said the wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked on Robin Hood Court on Sept. 7.
The next day, a Visa card from the wallet was used to make purchases at an Old Navy in Lake Grove, a Gulf gas station in Nesconset and a Walmart in East Setauket, police said.
Police released two photographs Friday of suspects -- a man and woman walking hand in hand -- they say made the purchases with the stolen card. The photos were taken from video surveillance at one of the stores.
Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
