Students at Patchogue-Medford High School were evacuated Friday after a bomb threat, an official said.

Students were evacuated at 9:45 a.m., when police checked the school, and were allowed back in at 10:20 a.m., according to Frank McKenna, administrative assistant for the superintendent.

The school district would not say how the bomb threat was conveyed, and said they would alert parents through its automated phone service.
