A Florida man crossing a street in Cutchogue was fatally injured when he was struck by a vehicle, Southold Town police said Friday.

Domenick Manzolillo, 79, of St. Augustine, was in the crosswalk on Main Road west of Griffing Street when he was struck about 5 p.m. Tuesday, according to Det. Steve Harned of the Southold Town Police Department.

Manzolillo was first taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead, then was transferred to Stony Brook Medical Center, where he died overnight, Harned said.

The driver, Mimi Christy, 48, of Westhampton Beach, was issued "two minor summonses," Harned said. He declined to reveal the nature of the summonses because the accident was still under investigation.
