Cops: Pedestrian killed in car crash

An 84-year-old Lindenhurst woman was struck by a car and killed Wednesday night as she was walking across Sunrise Highway in Lindenhurst, Suffolk County police said.
Olga Stevens of 40th Street was struck by a car near Sunrise Highway and Straight Path about 9 p.m., police said.
Stevens was hit by a 1998 Mercury driven by a 34-year-old woman and pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from county medical examiner’s office, police said.
