Suffolk County police have released video surveillance photographs of the man who they said robbed a TD Bank branch on West Montauk Highway in West Babylon on Jan. 8 -- and they're hoping someone will recognize the suspect -- and call Crime Stoppers.
Photos show the bank robber wearing a Hollister sweatshirt, khaki cargo pants, red gloves, a scarf, sun glasses and a black baseball cap adorned with a black square.
The man is believed to be about 5-foot-10 with a thin build, police said. Police said he was unshaven.
The robbery took place on a Wednesday, just before noon, when the man walked into the bank, handed the teller a demand note and fled with cash.
It was not clear how much money was taken. No one was injured.
Police are asking anyone with information about the suspect to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
