Police are looking for a man who robbed a Babylon bank Saturday afternoon. The robbery occurred at the Capital One branch on Little East Neck Road at about 3 p.m.

Suffolk County police said the robber is believed to be in his late 40s or early 50s, about 5-foot-5 with a slim build.

He was wearing a white painter's hat, sunglasses, a dark-colored jacket and shirt with purple pants with a white stripe, police said. He also wore dark shoes and carried a black shoulder bag.

Police said the man walked into the bank, handed a teller a demand note, got the money -- and fled the scene on foot.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential, police said.
