A Farmingville bank was robbed Friday by a man who handed a teller a note demanding money, Suffolk police said.

The teller at the TD Bank, 949 Horseblock Rd., gave him cash from the bank drawer at 11:20 a.m., police said. The robber left the bank and headed west through the parking lot on foot, police said.

The man was described as 25- to 35-years-old, unshaven, approximately 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall, and of medium build. He was wearing a black baseball cap, dark sunglasses and a navy blue New York Yankees jacket.

Detectives asked that anyone with information call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
